EZ Ride provides transportation services to Detroit residents who are presently under-served, or not served at all, by mainstream public transportation. It uses a collaborative, comprehensive and community-based approach to bring transportation services to the public through the use of an automated scheduling and dispatch technology that can mobilize, coordinate and increase the use of existing transportation resources.
EZ Ride is modeled after the computer-based scheduling and booking systems that travel agents use to help airline passengers around the world access travel on a multitude of carriers. The goal of EZ Ride is to improve people's lives by substantially and sustainably increasing access to and usage of transportation services for residents.
