DETROIT AREA AGENCY ON AGING HOLDS TWELFTH ANNUAL DETROIT MEALS ON WHEELS GOLF TOURNAMENT
DETROIT, MI – April 1, 2005 –Detroit Area Agency on Aging will hold its “Twelfth Annual Golf Tournament” to benefit Holiday Meals on Wheels (HMOW) on Thursday, June 30, 2005.
“This Annual Golf Tournament is a great way for people to support Holiday Meals on Wheels”, said Paul Bridgewater, Executive Director of Detroit Area Agency on Aging. “This program is vital to the health and well-being of many homebound, frail seniors living in the Detroit area.”
Detroit Meals on Wheels provides hot, nutritious meals to eligible, homebound seniors residing in metropolitan Detroit. Holiday Meals on Wheels supplements DMOW by delivering meals on Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and some weekends. Breakfast boxes are delivered when funding permits.
The Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2005. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. at the Fox Hills Golf Course, 8768 North Territorial Road, Plymouth, MI. Sponsorships are available. Lunch and dinner will be provided.
The Detroit Area Agency on Aging (DAAA) is a private nonprofit agency that serves older adults age 60 years and over residing in the City of Detroit, Highland Park, Hamtramck, Harper Woods and the five Grosse Pointes.
